Who we are:
bswing and AskBemsha run research studies (surveys, interviews, focus groups) — often for health & consumer companies. Sometimes we collect health-related information as part of that research.
What we collect:
- Basic info like your name, email, and phone number
- For healthcare providers: your specialty and license info
- Health details you choose to share (only if needed for the study, and only with your clear permission)
- Your answers, recordings, or transcripts from the study
- Basic website/device info (like cookies)
Why we collect it:
- To see if you qualify for a study
- To run the study and record your answers
- To pay you for participating
- To check for fraud or duplicate participants
- To follow the law
We do not use your info for unrelated marketing. We do not sell your personal information.
Health information: If you share health details, it's always your choice. We will always ask for your permission and you choose what to share. In most cases, this isn't the kind of medical record info protected by HIPAA, but instead is what you tell us directly.
Who sees your info:
- Companies who hire us see anonymous, aggregated results (like "6 out of 12 people said..." or “a woman with rheumatoid arthritis noted…”).
- Your video are only shared if you separately agree. Sometimes clients may ask us if we can make a reel or other asset to help communicate what was learned. We would contact you to ask your permission in these cases.
- We don't sell your info to advertisers.
How long we keep it:Who sees your info:
- Recordings/transcripts are kept for 2 years, then deleted or completely anonymized anonymous.
- Payment records are kept longer, since tax laws require it.
- If you weren't selected for a study, your info is deleted within a year unless you tell us you want to remain on our list.
Keeping your info safe: We use encryption, limited employee access, and regular security checks (audited yearly).
Your rights: You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, and you can always withdraw from a study at any time with no penalty. To ask about your rights, email privacy@bswing.com.
Kids: Our studies are for adults. We don't knowingly collect info from anyone under 18 without a parent's permission.
